With a deep passion for agronomy and the vineyard, Sebastián Rodríguez has built an outstanding winemaking career. His connection to the world of wine began in childhood, in Lo Abarca, a coastal valley in San Antonio, where formative experiences shaped his inspiration and vision of terroir. This path later led him to refine his craft at DeLoach Vineyards in California’s Sonoma Valley.
Since 2007, he has been part of the team led by Marcelo Papa at Concha y Toro, contributing in multiple areas ranging from the aging of fine wines to research in viticulture. Today, at the Puente Alto winery in the heart of the Maipo Valley, he leads the production of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon for Marques de Casa Concha, seeking to capture the richness of Chile’s micro-terroirs in every bottle.
"The Winemaker chooses the field, sows and takes care of the vineyard, decides the harvest, works the musts, and takes them to barrels, decides its permanence in wood and passage to bottle. We are the fathers of wine, and we are responsible for it until it is bottled".
