This variety has its origin in vineyards just a few kilometres from the Pacific Ocean, in the Casablanca Valley. Here, granite and clay soils, together with a coastal climate, come together perfectly to give life to this fresh Sauvignon Blanc.
SOIL:
Soils rich in red clay and granite give rise to Reserva Especial in Casablanca, 70 kilometres west of Santiago de Chile. Clay has been a key element in many creations throughout human history, and today it has an important role in making this wine.
WEATHER:
The clay-loam soils over a granitic base in our vineyards contribute rich minerality and tremendous aromatic expression to this wine, while the influence of the Pacific Ocean and its continuous gentle breezes allow us to obtain a wine with crisp acidity and pleasing freshness.
