Colchagua

VARIETIES: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling y Merlot.

LOCATION:

Located in the VI Region of Chile, in the northwest sector of the Litueche commune, on the border with the Navidad commune and where the Rapel River is deep but calm.

WEATHER:

The Ucúquer vineyard has a coastal Mediterranean climate that –influenced by the oceanic breeze that enters the estate through the Rapel river basin– maintains moderate temperature conditions throughout the year.

SOIL:

The soil of this vineyard is granitic, loamy-clayey, which is characterized by being poor in organic matter and good drainage. In its composition there is red clay, maicillo and, as it is excavated deeper, it becomes more and more stony, gravel appears.

VENDIMIA:

After the highest summer temperatures, during the months of February and March, harvests of white and red varieties from cold climates are carried out in the wine-growing valleys of south-central Chile. As the grapes reach their optimum point of maturity, the harvest in the coastal area of ​​the Colchagua Valley begins to take shape, until it reaches its end at the end of this month of April.
