Strong presence of viña Concha y Toro at Premium Tasting 2025
Led by its winemakers Marcelo Papa and Sebastián Rodríguez, Concha y Toro participated in the ninth edition of one of the most important wine industry events in Chile: Premium Tasting.
On July 31 and August 1st, the ninth edition of Premium Tasting Chile took place at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, where Concha y Toro showcased its high-end labels: Amelia Chardonnay, Amelia Pinot Noir, and Terrunyo Carmenere.
Marcelo Papa, Amelia winemaker, was one of the 15 speakers at the seminar “El Norte Verde: La región natural de Chile desde Copiapó al Aconcagua”, moderated by geologist Eder González and viticulturist Héctor Rojas. On this occasion, Marcelo presented the 2023 vintage of Amelia Chardonnay, Concha y Toro’s high-end white wine, which earned the title of “White Wine of the Year”, along with 97 points in the 2025 Chile Report by renowned British Master of Wine Tim Atkin.
The second day, a Central Tasting took place, a major blind tasting led by Ana María Barahona, journalist and editor of Revista La CAV; Vinous wine journalist and critic, Joaquín Hidalgo; and for the first time as host, Marcelo Pino, internationally renowned Chilean sommelier.
The event featured 34 labels from across Chile, among which two of our standout wines were highlighted: Terrunyo Carmenere 2023, which showcased the unique qualities of Peumo terroir in the Cachapoal Valley—recognized as one of the most iconic origins for Carmenere in Chile; and Amelia Pinot Noir 2023, coming from our extreme northern vineyard, Quebrada Seca, a terroir whose unique climate conditions have positioned it as a global benchmark in the production of world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Our participation will undoubtedly help further strengthen the presence of our three exceptional wines from the renowned Limarí and Peumo appellations.
