Brazilian Journalists and Influencers Visit the New Concha y Toro Centro del Vino on Its Inauguration Day
Leaders in the worlds of wine, gastronomy, and travel experienced a unique multisensory journey at Chile’s newly launched wine tourism epicenter.
On Tuesday, July 1st, as part of the official launch of the Centro del Vino Concha y Toro, the winery welcomed a high-profile international delegation: a group of 11 renowned journalists and influencers from Brazil—key voices in wine, gastronomy, and travel—who had the opportunity to witness this major milestone for Chilean wine tourism firsthand.
The day offered an immersive dive into the Concha y Toro universe, blending technology, heritage, history, winemaking culture, and world-class wines. The visit began with the Casillero del Diablo sensory experience: “The Origin of a Legend”, where the guests explored Chile’s main wine valleys, the stages of vine cultivation, and the winemaking process through digital displays embedded in large, uniquely crafted fermentation tanks. They also discovered the typical aromas of wine in an interactive room and explored the Casillero del Diablo Memorabilia Room, before delving into the legendary story behind one of the winery’s most iconic brands.
The group then strolled through the Concha y Toro Park to reach the iconic Casa Don Melchor, built in 1875 as the summer residence of the winery’s founder, Melchor Concha y Toro. There, they toured its historic halls and, guided by sommelier Massimo Leonori, toasted with a glass of Don Melchor 2021, recently named the #1 wine in the world by Wine Spectator.
Back at the Centro del Vino, guests explored the newly opened Bodega 1883 Restaurant and its impressive 25-meter-long Grand Wine Bar. Here, they enjoyed the Terrunyo Experience, an elegant wine and food pairing that showcased the three varieties of this ultra-premium line—Sauvignon Blanc, Carmenere, and Cabernet Sauvignon—paired with a tasting menu specially designed to enhance each wine’s profile.
The guests described the experience as “amazing”, emphasizing that it far exceeded their expectations. Throughout the day, they created and shared engaging audiovisual content on their social media platforms, giving thousands of followers a firsthand look at this innovative space that positions Chile at the forefront of global wine tourism.
This visit marks the beginning of an ambitious international agenda that aims to position the Centro del Vino Concha y Toro as a global benchmark for innovation, culture, and viticultural excellence.
